Design

I worked as a System Designer on SWTOR, primarily working in combat-related systems including player progression, class abilities and skills, gearing and stats, PVP and PVE balance, PVP maps, and player companions.

Some of the things I worked on included:

  • Worked on PVP and PVE combat and  class balance starting with the release of 5.0 This included refining and balancing existing class and disciplines abilities, skills and stats to better balance PVE and PVP content.
  • Created and implemented new abilities and utilities for each class discipline in the game, and integrated them into existing class and discipline progression trees, as part of a 5.0 combat  overhaul.
  • Developed and implemented new Warzone and Arena maps for PVP combat.
  • Designed, presented and implemented unique abilities and ability sets for a new player companion.

I was also assisted in:

  • Creating and refining class progression, gearing and itemization.
  • Balancing and restructuring class discipline and utility trees.
  • Debugging and correcting combat-related issues.
