Design

I work as a Gameplay Designer on SWTOR, primarily working in combat-related systems including player progression, class abilities and skills, gearing and stats, PVP and PVE balance, PVP maps, and player companions.

Some of the things I have worked on included:

  • Lead the design of the classes and progression rework for the Legacy of the Sith expansion (2021), including: all-new combat styles system allowing any story to play any class, brining players up to level 80, reworking and streamlining class abilities, introducing a new progression system with new ability modifications and choices for every class, and overseeing the design of the new progression UI and character creation flow.

  • Class Design and Itemization for the Star Wars: The Old Republic: Onslaught expansion (2019), bringing existing characters up to level 75 along with a multitude of new abilities and class customization options through itemization.

  • PVP and PVE combat and class balance starting with the release of 5.0 This includes refining and balancing existing class and disciplines abilities, skills and stats to better balance PVE and PVP content.

  • Assisted encounter design with Operation and Flashpoints (raids and dungeons).

  • Warzone and Arena maps for PVP.

  • A new and improved Guild progression system.

  • New companions and companion abilities.
