Design

I work as a System Designer on SWTOR, primarily working in combat-related systems including player progression, class abilities and skills, gearing and stats, PVP and PVE balance, PVP maps, and player companions.

Some of the things I have worked on included:

  • Class Design and Itemization for the upcoming expansion Star Wars: The Old Republic: Onslaught, bringing existing characters up to level 75 along with a multitude of new abilities and class customization options.

  • PVP and PVE combat and class balance starting with the release of 5.0 This included refining and balancing existing class and disciplines abilities, skills and stats to better balance PVE and PVP content.

  • New abilities and utilities for each class discipline in the game, integrated into existing class and discipline progression trees.

  • Warzone and Arena maps for PVP.

  • A new and improved Guild progression system.

  • New companions and companion abilities.

I have also assisted in:

  • Creating and refining class progression, gearing and itemization.

  • Balancing and restructuring class discipline and utility trees.

  • Debugging and correcting systems and combat-related issues.
